T hen King Rehoboam took counsel with the old men that had stood before Solomon, his father, while he yet lived, saying, What do you counsel to reply to this people?

فَاسْتَشارَ المَلِكُ رَحُبْعامُ بَعضَ الشُّيُوخِ الَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا مُسْتَشارِينَ لِأبِيهِ سُلَيْمانَ فِي حَياتِهِ وَسَألَهُمْ: «بِماذا أرُدُّ عَلَى الشَّعبٍ؟»
