B ut they rebelled against the God of their fathers and fornicated after the gods of the people of the land, whom God had destroyed before them.

لَكِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَكُونُوا أُمَناءَ لإلَهِ آبائِهِمْ، وَراحُوا يَعبُدُونَ آلِهَةَ شُعُوبِ الأرْضِ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَ أنْ أزاحَهُمُ اللهُ مِنْ طَرِيقِهِمْ.
