A nd David went out to meet them and answered and said unto them, If you are come peaceably unto me to help me, my heart shall be knit unto you; but if you are come to betray me to my enemies, seeing there is no violence in my hands, let the God of our fathers look thereon and rebuke it.

Давид вышел навстречу им и сказал им: если с миром пришли вы ко мне, чтобы помогать мне, то да будет у меня с вами одно сердце; а если для того, чтобы коварно предать меня врагам моим, тогда как нет порока на руках моих, то да видит Бог отцов наших и рассудит.
