T herefore, all the elders of Israel came to the king in Hebron, and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD, and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Samuel.

Toţi cei din sfatul bătrânilor lui Israel veniseră la rege, în Hebron, astfel că David a încheiat legământ cu ei înaintea Domnului, la Hebron. Apoi ei l-au uns pe David ca rege peste Israel, după Cuvântul Domnului profeţit de Samuel.
