A nd at the end of three years, they took it; even in the sixth year of Hezekiah, that is the ninth year of Hosea, king of Israel, Samaria was taken.

وَاسْتَولَى شَلْمَنْأَسَرُ عَلَى السّامِرَةِ فِي نِهايَةِ السَّنَةِ الثّالِثَةِ، أي فِي السَّنَةِ السّادِسَةِ مِنْ حُكْمِ حَزَقِيّا لِيَهُوذا. وَهِيَ أيضاً السَّنَةُ التّاسِعَةُ مِنْ حُكْمِ هُوشَعَ لإسْرائِيلَ.
