B ut the LORD was merciful unto them, and had compassion on them, and looked upon them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and did not desire to destroy them or to cast them from his presence as yet.

Но Господь был милостив к ним, жалел их и заботился о них ради завета с Авраамом, Исааком и Иаковом. Он и теперь не хотел истребить их или прогнать от Себя.
