N ow, therefore, call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let no one be lacking, for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whoever is lacking shall not live. But Jehu did it in subtilty to the intent that he might destroy those that served Baal.

Chemaţi-i la mine pe toţi profeţii lui Baal, pe toţi cei ce-l slujesc şi pe toţi preoţii lui. Aveţi grijă să nu lipsească nici unul, pentru că doresc să aduc o mare jertfă lui Baal. Toţi cei ce vor lipsi vor muri.“ Însă Iehu lucra cu viclenie, cu scopul de a-i ucide pe toţi slujitorii lui Baal.
