A nd he said unto him, Thus hath the LORD said, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub, the god of Ekron, peradventure is there no God in Israel to enquire of his word? Therefore, thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

El i-a zis regelui: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: «Nu este în Israel Dumnezeu al Cărui cuvânt să-L poţi întreba de trimiţi mesageri să-l întrebe pe Baal-Zebub, zeul Ekronului? Pentru că ai făcut aceasta, nu te vei mai da jos din patul în care te-ai suit, ci vei muri cu siguranţă!»“
