T herefore, now, LORD God of Israel, fulfill unto thy slave David, my father, what thou didst promise him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if thy sons keep their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

Doamne, Dumnezeul lui Israel, împlineşte ce ai promis robului Tău, tatăl meu, David, când ai zis: «Nu vei fi lipsit niciodată de un urmaş care să stea înaintea Mea pe tronul lui Israel, dacă fiii tăi vor veghea la calea lor şi vor umbla înaintea Mea tot aşa cum ai umblat şi tu.»
