A nd they cried aloud and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets until the blood gushed out upon them.

فَصَلَّى الأنبِياءُ بِصَوتٍ أعلَى وَهُمْ يَجرَحُونَ أنفُسَهُمْ بِالسُّيُوفِ وَالرِّماحِ كَما اعْتادُوا فِي العِبادَةِ، حَتَّى سالَ الدَّمُ مِنْهُمْ.
