F or today he has gone down and has slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance and has called all the king’s sons and the captains of the host and Abiathar, the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him and say, Long live King Adonijah.

Pois ele hoje desceu, e matou bois, animais cevados e ovelhas em abundância, e convidou a todos os filhos do rei, e aos chefes do exército, e ao sacerdote Abiatar; e eis que comem e bebem perante ele, e dizem: Viva o rei Adonias!
