A nd David said unto him, Fear not; for I will surely show thee mercy for Jonathan, thy father’s sake, and will restore unto thee all the land of Saul, thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

David sprach zu ihm: Fürchte dich nicht; denn ich will Barmherzigkeit an dir tun um Jonathans, deines Vaters, willen und will dir allen Acker deines Vaters Saul wiedergeben; du sollst aber täglich an meinem Tisch das Brot essen.
