H e also smote those of Moab and measured them with a line, causing them to lie down on the ground, and he measured them with two lines, with one to put to death and the other full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David’s slaves, bringing presents.

Sconfisse pure i Moabiti e li misurò con la corda, dopo averli fatti coricare per terra. Con due corde misurò quelli che dovevano essere messi a morte, e con una corda completa quelli da lasciare in vita. Cosí i Moabiti divennero sudditi e tributari di Davide.
