A nd they brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul thy enemy, who sought thy life, and the LORD has avenged my lord the king this day of Saul and of his seed.

І принесли вони Іш-Бошетову голову до Давида в Хеврон, та й сказали цареві: Оце голова Іш-Бошета, Саулового сина, твого ворога, що шукав був твоєї душі. І дав Господь цього дня панові моєму, цареві, пімсту над Саулом та над насінням його.
