T hen the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than ye; why then did ye not take us into account? Did we not speak first about bringing back our king? But in the end words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.

А Израелевите мъже отговориха на Юдовите мъже: Ние имаме десет части в царя и даже имаме по-голямо право над Давид от вас. Защо ни пренебрегнахте? Не говорихме ли ние първи да възвърнем царя си? Но думите на Юдовите мъже бяха по-остри от думите на Израелевите мъже.
