A nd it came to pass, after they had departed, that they came up out of the well and went and told King David and said unto David, Arise and pass quickly over the water, for thus has Ahithophel counselled against you.

Y después que se marcharon, aquéllos salieron del pozo y se fueron a dar aviso al rey David, diciéndole: Levantaos y daos prisa a pasar las aguas, porque Ahitófel ha dado tal consejo contra vosotros.
