Y aconteció que cuando él hizo mención del arca de Dios, Elí cayó hacia atrás de la silla junto al lugar de la puerta, y se le quebró la cerviz, y murió; porque era hombre viejo y pesado. Y había juzgado a Israel cuarenta años.

And it came to pass, when he mentioned the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck broke, and he died; for the man was old, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.
