Y tú, destruida, ¿qué harás? Aunque te vistas de grana, aunque te adornes con atavíos de oro, aunque pintes con antimonio tus ojos, en vano te engalanas; te menospreciarán los amadores, buscarán tu vida.

—And thou, wasted one, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rendest thine eyes with paint, in vain dost thou make thyself fair: lovers despise thee, they seek thy life.
