ث ُمَّ احتَدَمَتِ المَعرَكَةُ أكثَرَ حَولَ شاوُلَ. وَأحاطَ رُماةُ السِّهامِ بِشاوُلَ وَأصابُوهُ إصاباتٍ شَديدَةً بِسِهامٍ كَثِيرَةٍ.
