و َاستَعَدَّ الفِلِسْطِيُّونَ لِلحَربِ. فَجاءُوا إلَى شُونَمَ وَعَسكَرُوا فِيها. وَحَشَدَ شاوُلُ كُلَّ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ وَعَسكَرَ فِي جِلْبُوعَ.
