و َوَقَعَتْ أبِيجايِلُ عِندَ قَدَمَيهِ وَقالَتْ: «أعطِنِي فُرصَةً لِأتَكَلَّمَ مَعكَ يا مَولايَ. اسمَعْ ما سَأقُولُهُ لَكَ، وَاعتَبِرِ الذَّنبَ فِي ما حَدَثَ ذَنبِي أنا.
