ف َأخَذَ داوُدُ عَصاهُ بيَدِهِ، وَذَهَبَ وَبَحَثَ عَنْ خَمْسَةِ حِجارَةٍ مَلساءَ مِنَ الجَدوَل. وَلَمّا وَجَدَها، وَضَعَها فِي جِرابِهِ. وَأمسَكَ بمِقلاعهِ فِي يَدِهِ، ثُمَّ انطَلَقَ لِمُلاقاةِ الفِلِسْطِيِّ. داوُدُ يَقتُلُ جُليات
¶ took his staff in his hand and chose five smooth stones out of the brook and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he had, even in a provision bag, and with his sling in his hand he drew near to the Philistine.
