ف َكانَ هَذا لِتَعلِيمِ فُنُونِ الحَرْبِ لأجْيالِ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ الَّذينَ لَمْ يَخُوضُوا حُرُوباً مِنْ قَبلُ.

So the children of the people of Israel who had not fought in wars might be taught about war.
