ﺍﻟﻘﻀﺎﺓ 2:23 ~ Judges 2:23

ف َسَمَحَ اللهُ لِهَذِهِ الشُّعُوبِ بِأنْ تَبْقَى فِي الأرْضِ، دُونَ أنْ يَطرُدَهُمْ فَوراً. وَلَمْ يُساعِدْ يَشُوعَ عَلَى هَزِيمَتِهِمْ.

So the Lord left those nations, without driving them out at once, nor had He delivered them into Joshua’s power.
