ﺍﻟﻘﻀﺎﺓ 2:17 ~ Judges 2:17

ل َكِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَستَمِعُوا حَتَّى إلَى قُضاتِهِمْ، بَلْ خانُوا اللهَ وَعَبَدُوا آلِهَةً أُخْرَى. سَرْعانَ ما حادُوا عَنْ الطَّرِيقِ الَّتِي سارَ فِيها آباؤُهُمُ الَّذِينَ أطاعُوا وَصايا اللهَ ، فَلَمْ يَتَعَلًّمُوا مِنْهُمْ.

Yet they didn’t listen to their judges; for they prostituted themselves to other gods, and bowed themselves down to them. They turned aside quickly out of the way in which their fathers walked, obeying Yahweh’s commandments. They didn’t do so.
