و َكانَ يَفتاحُ الجِلْعادِيُّ مُحارِباَ مُقتَدِراً. وَهُوَ ابْنُ امْرأةٍ عاهِرَةٍ. وَجِلْعادُ هُوَ أبُو يَفتاحَ.

¶ Now Jephthah existed then, a Gileadite, a mighty man of valour, the son of a harlot unto whom Gilead had begat a son.
