ف َالمَحَبَّةُ الحَقِيقِيَّةُ لَيسَتْ أنَّنا أحبَبنا اللهَ، بَلْ أنَّهُ هُوَ أحَبَّنا، حَتَّى إنَّهُ أرسَلَ ابنَهُ لِيَكُونَ ذَبِيحَةً عَنْ خَطايانا.

In questo è l’amore: non che noi abbiamo amato Dio, ma che egli ha amato noi, e ha mandato suo Figlio per essere il sacrificio propiziatorio per i nostri peccati.
