ﻳﺸﻮﻉ 9:24 ~ Joshua 9:24

ف َأجابُوا يَشُوعَ: «قَدْ عَلِمَ خُدّامُكَ بِما أمَرَ إلَهُكَ بِهِ خادِمَهُ مُوسَى بِأنْ يُعطِيَكُمُ الأرْضَ، وَبِأنْ يُهلِكَ كُلَّ سُكّانِ الأرْضِ مِنْ أمامِكُمْ. وَقَدْ خِفنا كَثِيراً عَلَى حَياتِنا مِنكُمْ، وَلِذا عَمِلْنا هَذا الأمرَ.

They answered Joshua, Because it was surely told your servants that the Lord your God commanded His servant Moses to give you all the land and to destroy all the land’s inhabitants from before you. So we feared greatly for our lives because of you, and have done this thing.
