ف َأخَذَ رِجالُ إسْرائِيلَ مِنْ خُبزِهِمْ لِيَفْحصُوهُ، لَكِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَطلُبُوا إرشاداً مِنَ اللهِ.

So the men of Israel took some of their provisions, and did not ask for the counsel of the Lord.
