و َقَبلَ أنْ يَأتِيَ هَذا الإيمانُ، كُنّا تَحتَ وِصايَةِ الشَّرِيعَةِ. كُنّا سُجَناءَ إلَى أنْ كُشِفَ الإيمانُ لَنا.

But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed.
