و َإلّا، فَما الَّذِي يَفعَلُهُ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَتَعَمَّدُونَ عَنِ الأمواتِ؟ فَإنْ كانَ المَوتَى لا يُقامُونَ مِنَ المَوتِ، فَلِماذا يَتَعَمَّدُونَ عَنهُمْ؟

Otherwise, what do people mean by being baptized in behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized for them?
