ف َعِندَما كُنّا نَعِيشُ حَسَبَ طَبِيعَتِنا الجَسَدِيَّةِ، كانَتْ مُيُولُنا الآثِمَةُ الَّتِي أنتَجَتها الشَّرِيعَةُ تَعمَلُ فِي أعضاءِ أجسادِنا، فَنُنتِجَ ثَمَراً يُؤَدِّي إلَى المَوت.

for when we were in the flesh, the passions of the sins, that through the law, were working in our members, to bear fruit to the death;
