و َأسألُكُمْ أنتُمُ الإخْوَةَ العارِفِينَ بِالشَّريعَةِ: ألَسْتُمْ تَعلَمُونَ أنَّ لِلشَّرِيعَةِ سُلطاناً عَلَى النّاسِ ما دامُوا أحياءَ؟

Are ye ignorant, brethren, (for I speak to those knowing law,) that law rules over a man as long as he lives?
