ل َكِنَّ واحِداً مِنْ أعضاءِ المَجمَعِ يَحتَرِمُهُ كُلُّ النّاسِ وَقَفَ وَأمَرَ بِإخراجِ الرُّسُلِ بَعضَ الوَقتِ. وَكانَ اسْمُهُ غَمالائِيلَ، وَهُوَ فِرِّيْسِيٌّ، وَمُعَلِّمٌ لِلشَّرِيعَةِ.
