و َكانَ فِي الوَقتِ نَفسِهِ يَأْمَلُ أنْ يُعطِيَهُ بُولُسُ رِشْوَةً مالِيَّةً. فَكانَ يَستَدعِيهِ كَثِيراً وَيَتَحَدَّثُ إلَيهِ.

He was hoping that Paul would give him money so he could go free. For that reason he kept sending for Paul and talking to him.
