و َرُغمَ أنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَجِدُوا أيَّ أساسٍ لِلحُكمِ عَلَيهِ بِالمَوْتِ، إلّا أنَّهُمْ طَلَبُوا مِنْ بِيلاطُسَ أنْ يَأْمُرَ بِقَتلِهِ.
