و َتَجَمَّعَ عِدَّةُ آلافٍ مِنَ النّاسِ حَتَّى كادوا يَدُوسُونَ بَعضُهُمْ بَعضاً. فَبَدَأ يَسُوعُ يَتَحَدَّثُ أوَّلاً لِتَلامِيذِهِ: «احتَرِسُوا مِنْ خَمِيرَةِ الفِرِّيسِيِّينَ، أيْ مِنْ رِيائِهِمْ.
