ل َمْ تَكُن المَرْاَةُ يَهودِيَّةً، بَلْ فينِيقِيَّةً مِنْ سُورِيّا. وَتَوَسَّلَتْ إلَيهِ لِيُخرِجَ الرُّوحَ الشِّرِّيرَ مِنَ ابْنَتِها.
