و َجاءَتْ فُرصَةُ هِيرُودِيّا. فَفِي عِيدِ مِيلادِ هِيرُودُسَ، دَعا إلَى حَفلَتِهِ أبرَزَ رِجالِهِ وَقادَةَ جَيشِهِ وَرُؤَساءَ الشَّعبِ فِي إقليمِ الجَلِيلِ.
