و َضَرَبُوهُ عَلَى رَأسِهِ بِقَصَبَةٍ، وَبَصَقُوا عَلَيهِ، وَسَجَدُوا عَلَى رُكَبِهِمْ أمامَهُ.

And they struck his head with a reed, and spat on him, and, bending the knee, did him homage.
