« لِماذا يَكسِرُ تَلامِيذُكَ التَّقالِيدَ الَّتِي أخَذْناها عَنْ أجدادِنا؟ فَهُمْ لا يَغسِلُونَ أيدِيَهُمْ قَبلَ تَناوُلِ الطَّعامِ.»

`Wherefore do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they do not wash their hands when they may eat bread.'
