ك انَ الأمرُ كَذَلِكَ دائِماً، فَكانَتِ السَّحابَةُ تُغَطِّي الخَيمَةَ المُقَدَّسَةَ فِي النَّهارِ، وَفِي اللَّيلِ كانَتِ السَّحابَةُ تَبدُو كَالنّارِ.

So it was continually: the cloud covered it, and at night it was as the appearance of fire.
