ر َآنِي الحِمارُ فَمالَ عَنِّي ثَلاثَ مَرّاتٍ. وَلَو لَمْ يَمِلْ، لَكُنْتُ قَتَلْتُكَ، وَاسْتَبْقَيتُ الحِمارَ.»

The ass saw me and turned from me these three times; and if she had not turned from me, I also now would slay thee and leave her alive.
