ل َكِنَّ الرِّجالَ حاوَلُوا أنْ يُجَدِّفُوا عائِدِينَ إلَى اليابِسَةِ، فَلَمْ يَستَطِيعُوا، لِأنَّ البَحرَ أصْبَحَ أكثَرَ هَيَجاناً.

Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.
