س َمِعَ مَلِكُ بابِلَ نَبَأَ اقتِرابِهِمْ فَارتَخَتْ يَداهُ. أمسَكَ بِهِ الضِّيقُ وَالألَمُ كَألَمِ مَنْ تَلِدُ.

The king of Babylon has heard the news about them, and his hands fall feeble and helpless; anguish has seized him, and pangs like that of a woman in childbirth.
