« ضَرَبتُ أولادَكُمْ، لَكِنَّ هَذا لَمْ يَنْفَعْ، لأنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَتَعَلَّمُوا مِنْ تَأدِيبِي. وَكَأسَدٍ مُهتاجٍ، قَتَلتُمْ أنبِياءَكُمْ بَسُيُوفِكُمْ.»

In vain have I stricken your children (your people); they received no discipline (no correction). Your own sword devoured your prophets like a destroying lion.
