ق ُلْتُ لِنَفسِي: «فِي مُنتَصَفِ حَياتِي سَأعبُرُ بَوّاباتِ الهاوِيَةِ. قَدِ امتُحِنْتُ، وَأُخِذَتْ بَقِيَّةُ سَنَواتِ حَياتِي مِنِّي.

I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years.
