و َقَدْ صُنِعَتْ مُرَبَّعَةً وَمَثنِيَّةً، طُولُها شِبرٌ وَعَرضُها شِبرٌ.

It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span was the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof, being doubled.
