ل َكِنَّ القابِلَتَيْنِ كانَتا تَخافانِ اللهَ، فَلَمْ تَفعَلا كَما طَلَبَ مِنهُما مَلِكُ مِصرَ، بَلْ تَرَكَتا الأولادَ لِيَعِيشُوا.

But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive.
