ك َثِيراً ما تَمَرَّدُوا عَلَيهِ فِي الصَّحراءِ. وَأحزَنُوهُ فِي تِلكَ الأراضِي القاحِلَةِ.

How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!
